Do the tools cost extra?

No. All 110 are part of the agent on every plan, the free one included. You pay for what a step actually uses - a model turn, a web capture, a conversion. Reading your own files costs nothing at all.

Where do the file tools run?

On the device you are on. From a computer they work on that computer's files through the SDK; from a phone they work on that phone's own files. Nothing is copied to our servers to be read.

Can I stop a tool?

Yes. Four modes decide what is asked: Plan reads only, Ask asks before every change, Auto lets ordinary writes through, and Full access still asks before sending, publishing or spending.

Can I add my own tools?

How can I tell what a tool actually did during an agent run?

Review the recorded run steps, including the tool name, summary, result, and any error; use that evidence to verify the action instead of relying only on the agent's final message.

What should I do if fetching a webpage returns only a sign-in page?

Use a source that is publicly accessible to the fetch tool, or provide the relevant text yourself; do not assume the tool can use your browser's private session.
