Can the agent build one for me?

The agent can handle workflow lifecycle tasks, from inspecting an existing graph to creating, updating, running, or deleting one.

Workflows

What this means in practice

Treat creation and edits as consequential changes: review the proposed structure and approve the request before it is applied, even in Auto mode.

Practical guidance

The workflow tool can help with the full lifecycle: inspecting an existing graph, creating or updating it, running it, and deleting it. These actions have different consequences. Reading a graph or starting a run does not change its definition, while creating or editing the graph changes future behavior. Those definition changes ask for your permission even when the agent is in Auto mode.

When the agent proposes a workflow, review its trigger, sequence, and any actions that affect external services or stored data. Check that the graph starts under the intended conditions and that each step has the inputs it expects. Approve only after the proposed structure matches the process you want. Afterward, run a controlled example and inspect the history before relying on it automatically.
